COURSE Overview:
Embark on a transformative journey into the sacred healing art of Thai Yoga Therapy through this immersive four-day training led by Laura Armenta and Kaylee Koslowske.
Thoughtfully crafted for beginners, bodywork practitioners, and wellness professionals alike, this introductory-level course offers a comprehensive foundation for anyone seeking to expand their healing repertoire or explore holistic modalities with depth and integrity.
What You’ll Learn:
Participants will explore theoretical frameworks and hands-on application—learning to hold space with intention, offer therapeutic touch with cultural sensitivity, and engage in practices rooted in centuries-old wisdom.
COURSE MODULES:
MODULE 1
A grounding introduction to the philosophy, ethics, and core principles of Thai Yoga Therapy. This module lays the foundation for respectful and effective practice. This module introduces participants to key concepts such as:
* The roots and history of Thai Yoga
* Wai Kru and the Thai Sen Sib (energy line) system
* Body mechanics, breath awareness, and practitioner alignment
* Grounded presence and intuitive listening
* Respecting client boundaries and practitioner responsibility
* Opening sequences and basic assisted postures
MODULE 2
Participants are guided through a structured sequence that integrates the key principles introduced in Module 1, cultivating flow, alignment, and therapeutic presence. Introductory Flow includes:
* Smooth transitions between postures
* Rhythmic flow and meditative presence
* Partner engagement and breath synchronization
* Safe and effective application of pressure and stretching
* Introduction to supine and prone positions
Participants will practice with peers under the supervision of Laura and Kaylee, receiving real-time feedback to refine their technique and enhance confidence.

ABOUT INSTRUCTORS

Laura Armenta
Laura is a dedicated student of movement, the body, and the interconnectedness of breath to foster self-love, harmony, and self-empowerment. With nearly 40 years of experience, Mexican-born Laura Armenta has excelled as a professional dancer, choreographer, yogini, and student of body and somatic movement. Her extensive training encompasses a wide array of dance styles, world dance, and cultural anthropology. Laura’s passion for martial arts has led her to explore disciplines such as Capoeira, Muay Thai, Boxing, Aikido, and Krav Maga.
She embraced yoga in 1991, subsequently becoming a teacher in 1998, and later added to her education Ayurveda, Thai Yoga Therapy, and Reiki. Additionally, she has pursued studies in somatic and healing practices like Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Gyrotonic Method, and Pilates.
She is the founder and artistic director of Armentality Movement Arts Center and Artistic Director of Laura Armenta Dance Company, she has also shared her expertise as a faculty member at various artistic organizations and universities. Residing in West Michigan for almost 30 years, Laura travels to spread her knowledge and passion for dance and holistic healing through sessions, classes, and workshops.

Kaylee Koslowske
Kaylee Koslowske, originally from West Michigan, is a multifaceted individual with a broad range of expertise across various domains. Her academic background includes a degree in Chinese Studies from DePaul University, offering a unique cultural insight to her diverse interests.
Additionally, she is a self-published author, skilled musician, composer, and songwriter, crafting music that embodies artistic authenticity. Alongside her creative pursuits, she possesses a solid grounding in natural health, having achieved a Doctorate of Natural Medicine.
Ms. Koslowske excels not only as a Thai Yoga practitioner but also as an instructor. Her dedication to physical health and mindfulness is evident in her pursuits as a dancer and yogini, where she refines her expertise, embodying grace and equilibrium.
Kaylee serves as the Associate Director and Instructor at Armentality Movement Arts Center and is a member of the Laura Armenta Dance Company. In addition to her roles in the arts, she is a skilled whole-food, plant-based cook. Known for her diverse talents, Kaylee excels in holistic health, music, dance and yoga.
