THERAPEUTIC THAI-YOGA & SOMATIC RESTORATION
The Armenta Thai Yoga Therapy Experience™
Rooted in the therapeutic principles of Nuad Boran and informed by somatic awareness, breath-centered movement, and holistic restoration, The Armenta Thai Yoga Therapy Experience™ offers grounded, intelligent care designed to support resilience, mobility, nervous system regulation, and embodied well-being through every stage of life.
WHAT IS THAI YOGA THERAPY?
Nuad Boran—commonly known in the West as Thai-Yoga Therapy or Thai Yoga Bodywork—is a traditional therapeutic system rooted in ancient healing practices connected to Ayurveda, mindful movement, breath awareness, and holistic body restoration.
Unlike massage performed on a table with oils or lotions, Thai-Yoga Therapy is traditionally experienced fully clothed on a supportive floor mat using guided movement, assisted stretching, rhythmic compression, therapeutic touch, and mindful positioning designed to support mobility, circulation, grounding, and overall well-being.
Sessions unfold through slow, intentional pacing informed by breath awareness and somatic responsiveness. Therapeutic techniques are thoughtfully adapted to each individual’s comfort level, mobility, physical condition, and wellness goals.
This restorative bodywork system works along the body’s Sen lines, energetic pathways traditionally understood to support the movement of vitality, circulation, and internal balance throughout the body.
At Armentality, Thai-Yoga Therapy is approached not as a spa service, but as an integrative therapeutic experience designed to support nervous system regulation, functional movement, recovery, emotional calm, and embodied restoration through every stage of life.
THE ARMENTA APPROACH
Laura Armenta’s therapeutic approach is rooted in more than two decades of Thai-Yoga Therapy practice and informed by a lifetime devoted to movement, somatic awareness, embodied wellness, and interdisciplinary healing arts.
With over 21 years of experience working with individuals across a wide range of ages, physical conditions, and life transitions, Laura integrates the foundational principles of Nuad Boran with extensive studies in somatic movement, yoga, Ayurveda, functional movement practices, breath-centered awareness, and restorative therapeutic care.
Originally trained as a choreographer and movement artist, Laura’s understanding of the body extends beyond isolated technique and into the deeper relationship between movement, emotional regulation, nervous system responsiveness, posture, breath, rhythm, and human adaptability. Her sessions are guided not only by technical knowledge, but by decades of observing how the body communicates through tension patterns, movement habits, stress responses, fatigue, injury, and recovery.
Her work has also been shaped by multicultural exposure to traditional bodywork and holistic wellness practices, including early experiences with Mexican herbal and body-based healing traditions passed down through her maternal lineage, along with independent research within Indigenous communities in Mexico and Peru.
Depending on the needs of the individual, sessions may also incorporate Tok Sen—an ancient Northern Thai therapeutic technique traditionally used to support vibrational release, grounding, and muscular relaxation through rhythmic therapeutic application.
Rather than following rigid protocols, Laura’s work emphasizes individualized therapeutic care, intentional pacing, compassionate presence, and nervous system-informed support designed to meet each person where they are physically, emotionally, and energetically.
